About this event
Linda Croxson, a professional artist and an abstract painter working primarily in oils, will share a very personal history of art as reflected in the use of line throughout human history, from the cave paintings made 30,000 years ago, to the Greeks, the Renaissance artists, and to our own contemporaries. Linda describes line as “the intentional creation of a record of a human movement,” and will illustrate different approaches to line-making throughout history, what it has meant to her and how it has contributed to the evolution of her own work." The presentation consists of slides of her work, as well as painting by famous artists….from the cave painters to DaVinci to Cezanne. This presentation is sure to inspire!
