About this event

Rapp Writers Free Community Writing Workshop made possible by a grant from RAAC's Claudia Mitchell Arts Fund.
Participants will read and discuss examples of published works, then work individually on writing exercises, trying out new strategies and techniques. Participant insights, learning and questions will be welcomed.
Techniques presented include: World-Building - how to create the time and place with in which your main character lives (real or imagined).
Character Creation and Development - How to make your main character real and believable
Framing the Story - Choosing where to begin and end, book-ending your plot, not letting the drama "leak out". Research - How to do it, and how to use it effectively.
Seating is limited, registration is required.
