Individual and In-Home Services

Rapp at Home volunteers can often help with something as simple as changing a ceiling light bulb, to putting you in touch with a builder who can re-design your home for senior-friendly living.

Feeling overwhelmed with clutter or yard work? Give us a call, and Rapp at Home volunteers can lend a hand. Don’t know where to turn for special needs such as home or car repairs? We’ll help you find the right person to assist you. Maybe you are unable to pick up prescriptions or groceries, or just could use a friendly visit. Call us! Rapp at Home is here to connect you to the help you need.

Rapp at Home can also help in times of crisis, such as getting a hospital bed set up in your home after an unexpected medical emergency, helping to find home health aides or respite caregivers, etc.

Special Programs

Companion Care Program: We connect Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with community members needing in-home care. Since the program began in 2020, our CNAs have logged over 1000 hours attending to clients. In 2022, we hope to add Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides to expand the kinds of in-home services CNA clients are requesting.

Rapp at the Door: This program was established during the COVID pandemic restrictions as a way to reach out to and engage with seniors most at risk for being isolated—those without a support network or who have limited mobility. On major holidays—when we perceived isolation would feel most acute—Rapp at Home volunteers deliver goodies or small gifts to 50+ community members each time.

Highly reflective 911-emergency signs: We have already purchased and installed—for free—reflective house number signs for residents across the county. When you have an emergency, you want responders to find you quickly and easily.
